The historic Bowen house was the home of the Rochester and Bowen
families for many generations. Community leaders and art lovers, the
family members opened their home to area residents of al ages as a
gathering place for enjoyment and discussion of literature, local
and world affairs, music, and fine arts. Today the Bowen House legacy
lives on with exhibits by local artists and events highlighting Appalachian
art and culture.
